ClubMX looks to build on strong form ahead of Seattle

As the series transitions from Glendale to Seattle, the theme for ClubMX Yamaha continues to be clarity through consistency. The results are no longer isolated flashes - they are becoming repeatable patterns. Glendale provided further confirmation. Words: Mike Bonacci of ClubMX

Glendale Recap - Another Step Forward

Both riders began the weekend strong in qualifying:

• Max Vohland – P4

• Hunter Yoder – P9

Track position has been a focus all season, and it showed again in the heat races.

Max Vohland delivered a commanding performance in Heat 1, taking the win (P1) — another major milestone for the program. Winning a heat race at this level reinforces both pace and execution, and it marks continued progression toward sustained front-group relevance.

Hunter Yoder followed with a strong P4 finish in Heat 2, positioning himself well for the main event.

Under the lights, both riders again demonstrated composure and control:

• Max finished P6

• Hunter finished P7

While neither rider forced the issue, both executed clean, disciplined races, securing consistent top-seven finishes and valuable championship points. Glendale further solidified the trajectory established in Houston.

Seattle Preview - Variables Ahead

Seattle is always unpredictable.

Weather forecasts remain questionable, and the construction timeline for the track has been compressed due to the Seattle Seahawks’ recent championship success. With the stadium turnaround shortened, our expectation is a softer racing surface that may evolve rapidly throughout the night.

Should conditions trend toward moisture or mud, it could level the playing field. Softer surfaces demand throttle control, balance, and patience — traits both riders have emphasised in training. Seattle is rarely straightforward. Adaptability will matter.

Looking Ahead - Arlington & The Eastern Regional Opener

With Arlington marking the opening round of the Eastern Regional 250SX Series, ClubMX Yamaha will expand its race effort with two experienced competitors entering the fold. The event also coincides with Military Appreciation Weekend and will serve as the first race of the season for two key riders.

Military Appreciation events carry additional meaning for the team, and Arlington will serve as both a competitive and symbolic start for the East Coast effort. We will likely see a similar scenario to earlier this year, when the #22 and the #89 were at the front of the field.

Coty Schock returns to the gate with the confidence that comes from experience and proven racecraft. His ability to manage intensity, execute under pressure, and deliver consistent results has long been a strength. With a full off-season of preparation behind him, the expectation is that he will immediately position himself as a factor in the Eastern standings. Carrying the #22 will be added motivation for the Delaware native.

Devin Simonson will make his season debut following an intense training boot camp. His preparation has been deliberate and measured, focusing on durability and race-pace progression. Arlington presents an opportunity to reset, establish rhythm, and begin building momentum in what will be a competitive Eastern Regional field. Keep an eye on Devin — he may surprise the group with his newfound speed.
