ClubMX rolls into Cleveland with confidence and momentum
Wasn’t it just yesterday that we were getting ready for Anaheim 1? Now here we are heading down the home stretch of another exciting Supercross season. With Salt Lake City in sight. The ebb and flow, the highs and lows, have created quite a roller coaster this season. The entire ClubMX team (knock on wood) has stayed healthy to capitalise on the opportunities throughout the season. Nashville was just one more “right place, right time” moment for the team. Words: ClubMX’s Mike Bonacci
Nashville - Breakthrough Moments
Nashville delivered one of the most memorable and eventful weekends of the Eastern Regional season for ClubMX Yamaha - on and off the track.
The weekend began with a unique opportunity during press day, as the team collaborated with the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast. Coty Schock and Devin Simonson spent time on track with former NFL standout Delanie Walker and Mitch Carsley, who embraced the experience and quickly showed a genuine appreciation for the sport. With support from Fly Racing and Yamaha, the session turned into a standout moment of the weekend, where the four of them lined up on the gate to do holeshots! Delanie got the best of them.... Thank you to Sean and Joe from Feld for making this happen. The entire team had a blast.
Moment Worth Celebrating
During opening ceremonies, Brandon Haas was honoured with the Legend and Heroes Achievement Award, presented by Brock Glover - a meaningful moment for the team and the broader motocross community.
Haas is a very humble person and is not one to look for the spotlight, but his body of work over the last twenty years has been notable in the sport. His efforts have created, developed and maintained the careers of many of the top professionals in Supercross and Motocross, and the award is well deserved.
On Track - Nashville Performance
Once the gate dropped, the racing matched the energy.
Qualifying:
* Devin Simonson - P9
* Coty Schock - P11
Both riders lined up in the same heat race and delivered strong performances:
Heat Race:
* Devin Simonson — P4
* Coty Schock — P6
Main Event:
* Devin Simonson — crossed the line P4, later advanced to P3 following a post-race penalty of a competitor (career-first podium result)
* Coty Schock — P7
For Devin, it marked a breakthrough moment—his first career podium finish, even if the celebration came after the chequered flag and the podium presentation. Devin was rushed to the press conference, where he also received one of the coolest trophies – a Gibson guitar. It was also the first professional podium for his mechanic – Brandon Hardin, or, as the team refers to him, Youngblood.
Moments like that matter.
Momentum Off the Track
The energy didn’t stop at the race.
Back at the ClubMX facility this week, Chad Reed surprised Devin at the end of a training session with a long-overdue celebration - champagne included. With mechanic Brandon Hardin on the receiving end, it was a well-earned moment that the rider didn’t get to experience trackside in Nashville.
The entire team was there to celebrate the moment – hopefully with more to come.
Cleveland - A Return and an Opportunity
The series now heads to Cleveland, Ohio (April 18) at Huntington Bank Field, marking the return of Supercross to the city for the first time in over three decades.
It also brings the Triple Crown format back into play.
Forecasts indicate the potential for rain, which could dramatically influence track conditions. Softer surfaces and evolving lines place a premium on adaptability, throttle control and race management - areas where both riders have shown growth.
The team welcomes it.
Season Context - Final Stretch
The Eastern Regional is entering its final phase:
* Cleveland
* Philadelphia
* East/West finale to follow
At the same time, the program continues to evolve:
* Max Vohland and Hunter Yoder are deep into motocross testing as the transition to the outdoor season begins.
* Coty and Devin have begun incorporating motocross work into their preparation while maintaining Supercross focus.
The crossover is intentional. The workload is increasing. The season is compressing.
What to Watch in Cleveland
* Devin Simonson building on his first career podium momentum
* Coty Schock converting consistent speed into a full Triple Crown result
* Adaptability in potential wet or soft track conditions
* Continued internal intensity translating into race execution
Thank you to all our sponsors for their continued support.
