Injury Update: Mitchell Oldenburg

Injury Update Mitchell Oldenburg

The 2026 season has gotten off to a challenging start for the Liqui Moly Beta Supercross team. At the second round of the season, Beta Factory rider Mitchell Oldenburg went down hard in the second qualifier. He got cross-rutted in a rhythm section that led to him crashing into a berm. He was knocked unconscious for a few moments and broke his arm as well from the crash. Oldenburg has since had surgery to repair his broken arm and is on his way to recovery. Both Benny Bloss and Mitchell Oldenburg will be out for A2 and beyond. An update will be provided in the next couple of days regarding when you can expect to see the team competing next. Words: Beta

"I ended up with a concussion and a broken radius/ulna in my left arm. I had surgery, and we are officially on the road to recovery! Not sure what the timeline looks like at the moment, but I’m just thankful for everyone in my corner being so positive!

"I’m sure I’m not the only one in the sport who has a love/hate relationship with dirt bikes. I think my wife said it best: 'It can always be worse, but damn, it could always be better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out! I’ve said this a lot the last couple of years: "Dirt bikes are a huge part of my life, but dirt bikes will not define who Mitchell Oldenburg is as a person."
