Triumph confirms Swoll and Forkner will undergo surgery
Triumph Factory Racing has confirmed that Jalek Swoll will be sidelined for an extended period with an Achilles tendon injury, while Austin Forkner is also recovering from a hand fracture.
Swoll’s latest Achilles setback in Birmingham is a huge blow and leaves the 25‑year‑old facing an uncertain outlook. Forkner, meanwhile, will sit out the remainder of Supercross with his ailment but is expected back for Pro Motocross.
"After his incident in Birmingham, Jalek has unfortunately been diagnosed with a damaged right Achilles tendon and will undergo repair surgery this week followed by a period of rehabilitation," read a Triumph statement.
"Austin has sustained a fracture in his left hand following a recent practice crash and will have surgery this week to ensure he is back to full fitness for the upcoming Pro Motocross series, where he will race the TF 250-X as planned. Speedy recovery, boys!"
