Lux Turner's AUSX campaign over following wrist fracture
Lux Turner's Australian Supercross season came to an early conclusion following a crash in practice at the AUSX Open in Melbourne last weekend.
The Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha ace sustained a fractured right wrist in multiple places, along with a sprained left wrist, in what was a seriously nasty crash for the 20-year-old, where he flew over the nets.
Turner, who held the red plate heading into the showpiece AUSX Open, took to social media to announce his departure and express gratitude to his Australian team.
"Unfortunately my time has come to an end in Australia. I want to give the biggest thank you to the whole Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha team for all the hard work and dedication you guys have put in to make the bike better and just this whole amazing experience I had in Australia, thank you, for making me feel like family. Sadly I did end up fracturing my right wrist in a couple of places and sprained my left wrist. I’m so grateful it isn’t anything worse, that crash was brutal. I’m going to take this time to recover and come back when I’m fully healthy and ready to go. Thank you to everyone supporting me," Turner posted.
Having signed with Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha for 2026, all eyes will be on getting healthy as soon as possible for the upcoming AMA Supercross season.
