Camden McLellan to continue MX2 career with Triumph Factory Racing
Triumph Factory Racing is excited to announce a two-year contract extension for Camden McLellan. The renewed agreement will see the talented rider continue racing for the British manufacturer through to the end of 2027, competing in the FIM MX2 World Championship class aboard the race-winning TF 250-X. Since joining the Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing team for the 2024 season, Camden’s career has been on an upward trajectory. A maiden overall podium result of third was secured at round three in Sardinia, and even though he missed six Grands Prix due to injury, he ended a positive first season with the team ranked ninth in the MX2 World Championship.
Camden’s impressive progression has continued into the current campaign. Another overall podium result was secured in Sardinia, where he finished as runner-up, and one week later he claimed his first-ever moto win in Italy. McLellan stepped onto the rostrum again at arguably the toughest race of the season – the deep sand track of Lommel in Belgium – where he placed second overall. With four rounds remaining in 2025, McLellan lies sixth in the championship standings.
With his future set for the next two years, Camden can fully focus on continuing to climb the ranks of the MX2 class. The likeable South African – who will move out of the division at the end of 2027 due to the maximum age limit of 23 – will enter the 2026 season with one clear goal in mind: to become MX2 World Champion.
