Injury Update: Simon Langenfelder

Simon Langenfelder’s 2025 Motocross of Nations

Simon Langenfelder’s 2025 Motocross of Nations came to a disappointing end after a heavy crash at the start of the opening race saw the reigning MX2 World Champion get run over. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing De Carli star subsequently sustained fractured ribs and a broken shoulder blade in the incident, forcing him out of the race.

Langenfelder, who had been eager to cap off his title-winning season on a high note at Ironman, will now turn his attention to preparing for the 2026 campaign following this cruel blow.

“Unfortunate end to the season! Had a big start crash and got run over by quite some other guys. Right now I am feeling somewhat okay, but a few ribs are broken as well as my scapula. Let’s heal up now.”
