Yamaha C6 Bank IMS Racing, the new Yamaha Racing Brazil team in the Brazilian Motocross Championship, is proud to announce the signing of Dutch rider Glenn Coldenhoff for the 2026 season. Third place in the 2025 MXGP and champion of the 2019 Motocross of Nations, “The Hoff” arrives in Brazil to further raise the level of national competition, which has been gaining international prominence year after year.
After 15 seasons in the World Championship, the likeable Dutchman is looking for a new chapter in his career. He brings his experience, technique, and discipline to Brazil to strengthen the Yamaha Racing Brasil team, formed through the partnership between IMS Racing and C6 Bank, further enhancing the quality of the Brazilian paddock.
Giovana do Vale, Brand & Marketing & Racing at Yamaha Motor do Brasil, emphasises that the arrival of an international star like Glenn Coldenhoff enhances the spectacle:
“With Glenn, we strengthen our vision for the future, expand our competitive presence, and reaffirm that we are here to lead, inspire, and transform Brazilian motocross. From 2026, Yamaha Racing Brasil will have two teams: Yamaha Monster Energy Geração and Yamaha C6 Bank IMS Racing. We know that fans of the sport are eager to see athletes of this calibre alongside our six-time Brazilian champion Fabio Santos, so we are also fulfilling a request we have heard many times throughout the year. Furthermore, we are reinforcing our commitment to the development of Brazilian and Latin American athletes by strengthening the YZ125 category. Many more good things are coming,” adds the manager.
“I want to thank Yamaha and C6 Bank for the opportunity to build this new team together and bring in a rider of Glenn Coldenhoff’s calibre. I also want to thank Motul, Durag, and PowerMX, who are sponsors of the team. His arrival represents a giant step for the development of Brazilian motocross and the riders we will have in the junior categories. He is a very high-level athlete, extremely professional and competitive. We are very happy to welcome him and confident that it will be a historic season,” says Wellington Valadares, CEO of IMS Racing and the Yamaha C6 Bank IMS team.
Glenn Coldenhoff also celebrated the new challenge:
“I am very motivated to start this next chapter of my career in Brazil. I have already experienced the passion of the fans in the years I raced in the Brazilian GPs, especially in 2014, when I won the final race of the MX2 World Championship at Beto Carrero, and that was very memorable. I know that the competition in the championship is very high; the whole world is watching the Brazilian Motocross Championship. I want to contribute, give my best and fight for victories together with Yamaha,” said the athlete.
Leandro Torres, founding partner of C6 Bank:
“Our goal is to propel Brazilian motocross to a new level. Glenn’s arrival, along with the Yamaha and IMS structure, delivers a world-class spectacle to the public and strengthens the entire sport’s chain ,” says Torres.
Ricardo Bonzo, head of vehicles at C6 Bank:
“Supporting Brazilian motocross and having the bank’s name associated with such a prestigious team is very positive for our brand. This initiative helps us gain visibility among a strategic audience for our business,” he says.
Coldenhoff’s pre-season with Yamaha C6 Bank IMS Racing has already begun in the Netherlands. In January, he will join the team in Brazil to finalise his preparation.
