Austin Forkner announces retirement

Austin Forkner has confirmed he is stepping away from professional motocross with immediate effect, the 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing rider making the call ahead of RedBud’s fifth round of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship.

The 27‑year‑old will not see out the remainder of the season, choosing to close the chapter on a career that spans over a decade at the sport’s highest level.

For Forkner, who logged nine seasons under the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki banner before spending the past year and a half with Triumph Factory Racing, constant injuries and setbacks have clearly taken their toll and led him to this decision.
