Injury Update: Jordon Smith

Smith Triumph Injury

Jordon Smith has provided an update on his injury sustained at the Las Vegas SuperMotocross finale and confirmed he will miss the opening rounds of the 2025 AMA Monster Energy Supercross season. The 29-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder during practice in Las Vegas, which required surgery and will delay his planned move to the 450cc class. Speaking candidly about the extent of the damage and his recovery process, Smith outlined the details.

"Unfortunately, from my crash in practice in Las Vegas, when I dislocated my shoulder, I went home, got an MRI on it, and I had some damage to it and tore my rotator cuff and my labrum whenever my shoulder came out. So, that's unfortunate. The doctors felt like I needed to get it fixed too, come back to 100% and ensure that there are no more dislocations," he posted.

"So, got it fixed. I'm on the mend now. I've been about five weeks out of surgery, so I'm trying to do everything I can to get back as quick as possible. I've got an aero hyperbaric chamber here now to lie in every day, and I'm trying to do everything I can to get back and miss as little time as possible. As of right now, it looks like I'm going to miss the first part of the Supercross season, but I hope to be back as soon as we can and get back on the gate racing."
