Bike issue denies Herlings a podium charge in Latvia

A bike issue cruelly ended Jeffrey Herlings’ charge at the MXGP Latvia. After finishing third in race one, the Dutchman was running near the front and pushing for victory in race two at Kegums when he was forced to retire, leaving him 10th overall.

"Not much to say really. Hard to take when this happens, but at least my riding was good and I was challenging for the win. Just got to try and do the best we can from here on in," reflected Herlings.
